CONCRETE

INNOVATIVE USE OF CONCRETE
Solid yet refined, Kahn collection challenges
the way concrete is used in modern furniture.
Concrete is moulded into curvative structures that compliment and support the human body.

A FIRM FOUNDATION INSPIRED BY BRIDGE STRUCTURE
Kahn collection is inspired by bridge design
and monolithic Soviet structures and monuments.
This range features hand polished concrete with
steel reinforcements and solid oak throughout.

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT
A sneak-peek into development process at
District Eight. Before reaching the final form,
we tested out several prototypes to ensure each
meets both aesthetic value and
technical requirement.

“I am particularly fond of concrete, symbol of
the construction progress of a whole century,
submissive and strong as an elephant,
monumental like stone, humble like brick.”

KAHN TRACTOR STOOLS
Tractor stools with a solid surface seat shell.
The shell design is inspired by the industrial
tractor seat of the early 20th century.
Featuring Kahn’s steel legs incorporated
into a hand-polished concrete core.

KAHN HIGH DINING TABLE
Engineered to emulate bridge construction, this high
dining table is assembled using hand-finished cast
concrete legs with a solid oak top suspended
on a blackened steel wire frame.

KAHN SHELL CHAIR & BISTRO TABLE
Featuring Kahn Bistro Table with hand finished
concrete base and blackened steel wire post,
